The University District surrounds New Mexico State University, taking in Bellamah, University Hills, University Park, Crescent Park, Valley View and Glendale Gardens. Mostly established neighborhoods with mid-century and ranch-style homes, it is popular with NMSU faculty, staff and students and sits close to I-10, I-25 and the Pan American Center.

Location and Daily Life
University Avenue is the main east-west street, lined with restaurants, coffee shops and services. The NMSU campus brings Aggie football at Aggie Memorial Stadium, basketball and concerts at the Pan American Center, and the NMSU Golf Course just to the east. The I-10 and I-25 interchange is at the district's edge, which puts El Paso about 45 minutes south and the rest of Las Cruces a few minutes away. Mesilla's plaza is a short drive west.
